PAPOO is the result of three years of in-depth research and development in Smartio System's design and engineering department. The R&D had a single purpose, to "enable people with communication disorders to put an end to their isolation and to express themselves".

Papoo can be used with just one hand and has been designed to provide communication-impaired people with a simple, ergonomic and intuitive means of expression.
